Gemstone Panning

Come pan for treasures in our outdoor sluice (mining trough)! Purchase a bag of paydirt and find about 3 ounces of semi-precious gemstones and fossils, which are yours to keep. You will also receive an information card to help identify the treasures found. This is a great family activity. Use what you find to start a mineral collection or use them to make crafts.

NEW!!  We have buckets of dirt with larger quantities of goodies.  Choose from the Lucky Strike bucket with 16 oz. of assorted rough gemstones (emerald, garnet, amethyst, and more),  the “I Want to be a Paleontologist” bucket with 16 oz. fossil bucket, a replica arrowhead bucket, or the giant Mother Lode bucket – with 5 lbs of assorted rocks, fossils, and geodes.
